Because tutorials have a limited amount of time, it is practically impossible to cover everything learners want to talk about with regards to their papers.
Therefore, we will decide together with the learner what should be the focus of the tutorial. Our aim is to be realistic and specific about the things we can accomplish in a limited amount of time. (Please email and/or WhatsApp the identified problem, response time is 12-24 hours, therefore preparing beforehand is vital.)
It is important to understand that we are not the learner’s instructor; this means we are not going to give them a grade for their paper or assume any responsibility for grading. Our role is to help the student through the process of collaborative revision. We therefore encourage learners to take an active part of the tutoring session.
Prefer to have a tutor come to you? We have the option of Homework Au-pair, should you need a one-on-one session in person. This is only available on weekends.
